We understand that wine can, and often has, outperformed the major financial markets, offering significant returns without the volatility of the stock market. Therefore, preserving your investment is our primary focus. For less than ten cents per day, customers can store their wine and have access to all of our services. As an alternative to off-site storage, the individual collector is limited to building a wine cellar or purchasing a wine refrigerator unit. The expense for building a customized wine cellar can easily top $10,000; the cost for purchasing a refrigerator size wine chest can range from $2,000 for a 50 bottle unit to more than $5,000 for a 500 bottle unit. At these rates, a customer could rent a private vault at River Valley Wine Cellars and store their wine for a decade or longer. Please keep in mind that in all of these home storage scenarios, insurance, security and auxiliary equipment are either nonexistent or sub-par, not to mention the customer would be without the other services offered by River Valley Wine Cellars.
